Rasnov Fortress
One of the most interesting medieval architecture monuments, this peasant fortress was built at the beginning of the 14th century on a hill dominating the entire Barsei plain. The fortress was rebuilt during 15th and 16th century.
In the middle of the fortress there is a 146 m deep fountain dig in rock during 1623 and 1640. The Eastern polygonal bastion and the chapel were dated from 17th century.
The basement of an orthodox church dating from 11th-13th centuries was discovered within the premises of the fortress. The museum displays local history items: photocopies of documents, arms, tools.
